26th Annual Clothesline Project

  • Hackensack Avenue Hackensack, NJ United States (map)

On September 26, 2019 from 10:00 am to 4:30 pmhealingSPACE is hosting its Clothesline Project – Shattering Stereotypes: Sexual Violence Doesn’t Discriminate in Hackensack across from the Bergen County Courthouse to raise community awareness of violence against all people and demonstrate to survivors that they are not alone.

The Clothesline Project, now in its 26th year, features thousands of t-shirts created by survivors of sexual violence, domestic violence, child abuse, and death as a result of personal violence. Creating shirts promotes healing by providing survivors and their loved ones with an avenue to break the silence. Visitors can participate by creating their own shirts and pledging their support for the community’s anti-violence efforts. The event is free and open to the public.

A midday program will feature community dignitaries and partners.

For more information or to create a shirt, call 201 881-1750 or
